FAQs
Our walks are within time frames (puppy visits and solos between 9am and 11, and again from 1.30-3pm, group walks are picked up between 11am and 1.30pm) but we cannot give a specific time within the slots. We need to allow flexibility for travel to and from all walks, and our routes vary from day to day.
We work out our schedules so that dogs are ideally not left home alone for more than 4 hours.
We work with dogs on a long line (a horse lunge rein) for their safety (and our peace of mind) until we are confident in their recall, before letting them off lead. We will only let off lead with consent – but if a dog doesn’t have reliable recall, we may recommend that we train with them on a solo walk until recall has improved, so they can join in all the fun with the off lead dogs when they are group ready.
Puppy bones can take a while to grow, so our group walks aren’t suitable for their developing bodies. They may have lots of fun, but it could lead to issues later such as early arthritis, so our Puppy Visits are much better for them.
As they get older, they will join in a group walk, but with their own walker so that their energy levels can be maintained and we can make sure that they have a wonderful experience without being overwhelmed. They will gradually be introduced to the group walk dogs so when they are old enough they can go out to play with their friends!
We take care of everything for you – all we ask is that your dog has a suitable fitted harness. We provide leads, poo bags, treats (taking any allergies or dietary issues into account), towels and water.
We may, if we know in advance that the weather is going to be particularly wet, ask for some towels to be left out just in case, but on a day to day basis we provide everything we need.
